With the help of GSFA's Apply to College Initiative, students were given another opportunity to Apply to College. During March, colleges and universities throughout Georgia are waiving application fees. Congratulations to those students who Applied to College. The TCHS Counseling Department would also like to thank Ms. Lisa Griffin and Ms. Sarah Ward from SRTC for sharing information with our students during yesterday's event. #4theT

Dr. Busbin's Cloud Computing and Embedded Computing classes brewed up some knowledge as they explored how cloud computing is like a coffee shop! From placing orders to discussing the parallels between the two services, students dove into cloud technology with enthusiasm. Thanks to a Colquitt Electric Membership Corporation Bright Ideas Grant, they even printed their coffee shop posters right in class! From sports teams to cities, these students have been drawing connections and learning important concepts in a fun and engaging way. #4theT

TCHS Counseling Department is excited to announce FAFSA Fridays will be back after Christmas break. It is a time for you to come to get help filling out your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This is free money for college based on financial need. This process can be pretty tedious and frustrating as it requires you and your parents to input tax information. The counseling office brings in a representative from the Georgia Student Finance Commission to assist you with this process. She is the expert on all things financial aid. A sign-up form will be sent out after Christmas, but we wanted to make you aware of these opportunities now to relieve any stress you may have surrounding this topic. Be on the lookout for emails and flyers with the sign-up forms after Christmas. We look forward to helping you reach your goals after graduation. #BTTY #4theT

High school students presented gifts to each kindergarten student - a personal copy of I Promise, by LeBron James. Our senior students wanted to share their love of reading with those who are starting their educational journey. Many thanks to the TCHS Local School Governance Team for purchasing these books for the students. #4theT
